CHROME RECOVERY PLANT FOR STZ
STAGL is in process of hiring the services of a consultant for the preparation of detailed design of common chrome recovery plant right from the collection of spent chrome liquor from individual tanneries, its carriage / transport to CRP site, taking into account the locally available expertise, material and equipment (fabrication if required). The detail design report right from the generation of spent chrome liquor, till its recovery and sale is part of the consultancy assignment. Accordingly, in May 2018, UNIDO has provided technical support in vetting ToRs and thus approved from relevant quarters. The tender is summoned for acquiring proposals in April 2018.
Progress to date:
Pre-qualification process adopted for CRP consultancy: May 2018
Firms qualified for bidding process: Three pre-qualified firms were offered to take part in the bidding process for the subjected work.
Result: As per final evaluation process, In-Consult firm remains qualified on technical side based on previous experience of establishment of similar type of combined chrome recovery plant of 20 cubic meter capacity at Sialkot as well as at Kasur. Negotiations are under way to counter financial side.
